This privately owned company is engaged in the production of meat products. The company was incorporated in June 2001 and has its registered office in Merida, Badajoz, Spain. It aims to achieve excellence in each process, by proceeding under careful methods to transform any piece of pork. By selecting the best raw material in its farms, according to the different types of feeding, the company is able to offer a wide selection of exquisite Iberian products nationally recognized through Guadiala. Its products have successfully reached the DO. (Denomination of Origin) recognition. The products include Iberian ham from rear leg (Jamones Ibéricos), Iberian ham from front leg (Paletas Ibéricas), black pepper spiced sausage, paprika spiced sausage, spiced thick sausage (Morcón Ibérico extra or serrano), and cured pork loin of paprika taste (lomo Ibérico de bellota or recebo). The company is part of the Acorex Group, which started as a co-operative project in 1985. Acorex has gradually become the first agricultural firm of Extremadura, where 37 co-operatives work together. It is supported by more than 7,000 associates who harvest approximately 50 percent of the Extremadura land.
